We produce the best quality fruit we can with cover crops, compost, biological sprays, and meticulous attention to detail. The orchard is managed towards producing fresh pack fruit for direct outlets, with culls going to companies that make organic juice and hard cider, as well as a line of jams and spreads.
Our south facing slope, long growing season, and inland location gives us more heat than most coastal areas and enables us to grow a big diversity of fruit crops.
We have more than 70 varieties of apples, including heirlooms unique to California, antique varieties from Europe, hard cider varieties, and newer disease resistant cultivars. We also have figs (20 + varieties), pears (5 varieties), quince (4 varieties), peaches (10 varieties), citrus (about 90 trees of a wide number of common and rare varieties) and avocadoes (10 varieties). For bush fruits we have blueberries, ollallieberries, and pineapple guava. Other fruits make an appearance occasionally as well.
Fruitilicious is owned and operated by Zea Sonnabend, a career-long organic farming specialist. We strive to grow delicious fruit with superlative flavor and nutrition. We hope you enjoy our diverse offerings of artisanal fruit.
